"Ancillary Justice" is the first in the Imperial Radch Trilogy, following Breq, a choral-music loving, millennia-old, spaceship's AI inhabiting the body of a human "ancillary." Breq is seeking revenge against the ruler of the Radchaai for the destruction of her ship and crew.
